PURPOSE: A driving device for PDP is provided to reduce the number of switching elements for supplying a set-down voltage and a scan voltage to each subfield. CONSTITUTION: A driving device for PDP includes the first electrode driving portion. The first electrode driving portion includes an energy recovery circuit for recovering energy from the first electrode of a panel. The first electrode driving portion provides a scan pulse corresponding to selective write and a scan pulse corresponding selective erase to the first electrode in order to select a set-up/down pulse at a reset period or a cell at an address period. The first driving portion includes a set-down/selective write scan driving portion(53) to supply selectively a set-down pulse and a selective write scan pulse in response to a set-down control signal and a selective write scan control signal. |
