PURPOSE: A cathode ray tube is provided to achieve improved effectiveness of the device by forming a protrusion to the upper coil unit in consideration of the support member and ear of the cabinet structure. CONSTITUTION: A cathode ray tube comprises a first device coil(42) and a second device coil(44) mounted on the upper and lower outer surfaces of a funnel centering from a neck portion, wherein each of the first and second device coils has an upper coil unit disposed in the skirt of the longer side direction of a face panel and a lower coil unit disposed in the neck portion in the longer side direction of the face panel. The upper coil unit is disposed on the explosion proof band arranged, and has a protrusion protruded toward the skirt. The lower coil unit forms a center aperture portion of the inner shield disposed in the rear of the color discrimination device.
