Roller for technical or graphic applications consists substantially of non-metallic materials. Independent claims are also included for (a) a process for recycling the roller by sending the entire used roller to a recycling process, especially a chemical, mechanical or thermal recycling process; (b) a process for making the roller using substantially non-metallic materials.
