METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SEARCHING FOR BROADCASTING PROGRAM INFORMATION

PURPOSE: A method and system for searching for broadcasting program information are provided to allow a user to conveniently and easily search for information about a desired broadcasting program only by selecting a keyword. CONSTITUTION: A detailed information detector(204) detects detailed information about a broadcasting program from a received broadcasting signal. A keyword detector(207) detects at least one keyword from the detailed information. A system controller(205) searches the detailed information for information about a broadcasting program that a user desires according to a search mode requested by the user. A graphic engine(211) provides image information according to a keyword-based search mode, image information according to a text-based search mode, image information according to a category search mode and image information with respect to a search result. A display(210) displays the image information provided by the graphic engine.
