PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve an aperture ratio by reducing non-transmissive area of storage capacitors. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of light cut-off films(2) are deposited and patterned on a transparent substrate(1) for absorbing scattered light. A first insulating film(3) is deposited on the plurality of light cut-off films and the transparent substrate. A plurality of conductive films(12) are deposited and patterned on the first insulating film to face the plurality of light cut-off films. The plurality of light cut-off films, the first insulating films, and the plurality of conductive films form a plurality of storage capacitors. A second insulating film(11) is formed on the storage capacitors. A plurality of thin film transistors are formed on the second insulating film for controlling liquid cells. A conductive substance electrically connects drain electrodes(8') of the plurality of thin film transistors with the conductive films.
