The mullite industrial hot cyclic firing crystallisation frit comprises a mixture of aluminum oxides and silicon oxides 60-90 and additional oxides 10-40 per cent by weight respectively. The aluminum oxide and silicon oxide percentages are 20-45 and 20-50. Process making the frit employs an alumina:silica weight ratio of 0.5-2. The mullite crystalline phase is generated on ceramic supports heat-treated at 1000-1350[deg]C for 30-120 minutes.
