The device has a contact-sensitive sensor strip (13) with on (15) and off (14) settings, as a regulator connected to electronics for evaluating user's finger contact position on the sensor strip. The electronics forms a control loop for regulating a parameter to a defined value, whereby the computed control parameter is proportional to the contact position on the sensor strip. Parameter for switch is set according to position of user's finger on sensor strip.
