PURPOSE: A device for opening and shutting a door of a drum type washer is provided to prevent the door from being bumped against a cabinet and prevent breakage of the door and a door hinge assembly. CONSTITUTION: A device for opening and shutting a door of a drum type washer comprises a cabinet cover forming a throwing hole for throwing in and withdrawing the laundry; the door installed to the throwing hole, to be opened and shut; a door hinge assembly fixing the door to the cabinet cover; and a rotation control unit installed between the door hinge assembly and the door. The rotation control unit makes the door not opened at over the predetermined angle. The rotation control unit electrically controls rotation of the door. The door hinge assembly comprises a hinge supporter(92) fixed to the cabinet cover; a first hinge shaft(94) installed at one end of the hinge supporter; a hinge arm(96) rotatably combined to the first hinge shaft and connected to the door; and a second hinge shaft(98) installed to the combining portion of the hinge arm and the door. |
