PURPOSE: A method for downloading data between a computer and a mobile communication terminal is provided to connect two communication ports of the computer with two UARTs(Universal Asynchronous Receivers and Transmitters) of the mobile communication terminal, and to download firmware or data through two channels, thereby reducing time for downloading. CONSTITUTION: A system connects two communication ports of a computer with two communication ports of a terminal, respectively(S411). If a mode is converted into a data transmitting/receiving mode, application software of the computer decides a currently usable communication port(S412), and outputs a download request packet to the usable port only(S413). Application software of the terminal delivers a download-available display packet to the port receiving the download request packet(S414). If one port receives the packets, the system downloads firmware or data to the terminal(S417). If two ports are usable, the system assigns entire data to each of the communication ports, and downloads the data(S416). The terminal receiving the data in the two communication ports simultaneously combines downloaded bit streams in the two ports, restores the data, and stores or updates the data(S418). |
