POWER RECOVERY DRIVE CIRCUIT FOR PDP

PURPOSE: A power recovery drive circuit for PDP is provided to reduce the number of necessary elements by using a regenerative transformer to recover directly the charge/discharge energy to a power source side. CONSTITUTION: A power recovery drive circuit for PDP includes a resonant inductor(L), a primary coil and a secondary coil of a transformer, and a power recovery portion. The resonant inductor is connected to a load in order to receive the charging current or the discharging current. The primary coil of the transformer is connected to the resonant inductor. The secondary coil of the transformer is coupled to the primary coil of the transformer. The primary coil of the transformer is connected to the resonant inductor and the load in order to receive the charging current or the discharging current. The power recovery portion recovers the current of the secondary coil of the transformer to a power source side by generating the current to the secondary coil of the transformer.
