Thermoplastic material is plasticized in a twin screw extruder(1) with co-rotating screws, and impact modifying additives, reinforcing materials or alloying materials are added. Extruded compounded melt is alternately conveyed into one of two injection cylinders(13,14) for injection into a molding tool(24,25) or into an accumulator and an injection cylinder.
