PURPOSE: Lifters of a drum type washer is provided to improve washing effect by installing balls idling to the lifters increasing movement of the laundry. CONSTITUTION: A drum type washer includes a cabinet forming an opening in front; a tub installed inside the cabinet, to house washing water; a drum performing washing actions through a rotating shaft horizontally installed inside the tub; and plural lifters(70) installed to the inner wall of the drum, to make the laundry move vertically. The lifters have plural balls(77) rotatably installed to the outer wall. The laundry is rubbed by rotation of the balls when the laundry contacts with the lifters. The lifter comprises a lifter body(72) protruded from the inner wall of the drum toward the rotary center, and plural balls protruded on a side of the lifter body and rotatably installed. As the balls rotate when the laundry and the lifters contact, contact volume produced between the lifters and the laundry is increased, and the laundry is rubbed. Accordingly, the washing effect is improved. |
