The chair has a seat back, a seat surface and a supporting frame element with rolling surface(s) on which a rolling element sits. The seat surface and back can pivot relative to the frame element and roll when the rolling component rolls relative to the rolling surface. The rolling component is rigidly attached to a bearer to which the seat surface is attached. The bearer tilts relative to the rolling surface when the seat surface and back tilt. The arrangement has a seat back (11), a seat surface (10) and a supporting frame element (3) with at least one rolling surface (5) on which a rolling element (6) sits, whereby the seat surface and back are pivotable relative to the frame element and perform a rolling movement when the rolling component rolls with respect to the rolling surface. The rolling component is rigidly attached to a bearer (8) to which the seat surface is attached and the bearer tilts relative to the rolling surface when the seat surface and back are tilted.
