PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently adsorb an extractive substance in normal-hexane, such as fats and fatty oils, contained in wastewater into organic substance- assimilating yeast by using the lipophilic property of the extractive substance in normal-hexane, to prevent the yeast having adsorbed the extractive substance in normal-hexane from flowing out to the outside of a system, and to always stably and efficiently perform the biological treatment of the organic wastewater. SOLUTION: This organic wastewater treatment apparatus comprises a yeast reaction tank 20 having an aeration means 31 and performing the aerobic biological treatment of the wastewater by microorganisms containing the organic substance-assimilating yeast, and a solid-liquid separation tank 22 installed so as to be integrated with the yeast reaction tank 20 and performing solid- liquid separation of the inflow mixed liquid from the yeast reaction tank into sludge and treated water.
