PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-expandable stent for detention in vivo imposing little stress at both ends of the stent after intravascular placement. SOLUTION: The stent for placement in vivo 1 is integrally formed in nearly a cylindrical shape made of ultra elastic metals that exhibit ultra-elasticity in any stage before and after the insertion in vivo. The stent 1 is equipped with a plurality of annular bodies 2 (an expansion element) and a connecting part 3 (a connecting element). The annular bodies 2 are capable of deforming in the direction with their outer diameter reduced at the loading time of stress. The connecting part 3 connects a plurality of annular bodies 2 in an aligned state in the axial direction of the stent 1. The annular bodies 2 can perform elastic deformation by means of their ultra-elasticity, and the connecting part 3 constitutes a plastically deformable part which is substantially not equipped with ultra-elasticity in its entirety nor its partiality.
