PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum carrier eliminating the need for a stopper bar detachably provided at the end of a peg of a carrier, having a drum falling preventing device mounted at the end of the peg for pushing a cardboard cylinder, and requiring no manual work for attachment/detachment of a stopper each time. SOLUTION: The synthetic fiber winding drum carrier comprises the peg for pivotally supporting a drum, a lower side link provided at the end of the peg and adapted to slide-contact an inner diameter portion of the drum, when inserted into the peg, for rocking in the direction of inserting the drum therein, and an upper side link provided there and adapted to abut on the lower side link slide-contacting the inner diameter portion of the drum, when extracted form the peg, for rocking in the direction of extracting the drum therefrom.
