PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting method for a differential restriction device detecting whether it is equipped with the differential restriction device or not. SOLUTION: The method detects whether a vehicle is equipped with the differential restriction device or not from the relation between lateral acceleration or a turning radius of the vehicle and a prescribed judgment value acquired from the rotation information of the tire mounted to the vehicle.
