PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for hanging sausage on a rod by certainly passing the rod arranged below hooks through the sausage hung on the hooks and simultaneously moving the rod to a rod holder and from the rod holder, and provide equipment for the method. SOLUTION: This equipment 1 for hanging the sausages on the rod is installed with the hooks 5 installed to a circularly moving endless circulation unit 3 and hanging the sausages 4 and a rod moving means 7 having a plurality of rod front-supporting means 8 for supporting the front part 6A of the rod and moving the rod 6 toward the hooks 5. A rod supporting material 9 which moves toward the moving direction of the hooks 5 (arrowhead B) and supports the rear end 6B of the rod is installed to be ascending and descending to the rod 6 to a second endless circulation unit 17 arranged below the endless circulation unit 3.
