PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meter for a vehicle capable of suppressing complexifying of structures of peripheral components in supporting an operation shaft or an elastic member and reducing cost. SOLUTION: This meter comprises a display element D3, a circuit board 5 disposed at the back of the display element D3, and an operating mechanism S for changing display information of the display element D3. The operating mechanism S comprises a switch element 11, an operating shaft 12 for operating the switch element 11, and the elastic member 13 for returning the operating shaft. The operating shaft 12 comprises a pressing and moving part 161 for operating the switch element 11, hook parts 171 and 172 that are inserted into a through hole 52 in the circuit board 5 and engage with the rear surface of the circuit board 5, and a flange part 16 facing to the circuit board 5. The elastic member 13 is disposed between the flange part 16 and the circuit board 5 and energizes the hook parts 171 and 172 in the abutting direction on the circuit board 5 with a return force.
