PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power small-sized chain saw for cutting high branches so that branches of high parts of a tree are cut. SOLUTION: This power small-sized chain saw 14 is attached to the tip of a rod 10 in which a conventional power chain saw is miniaturized and lightened and is used as a machine for cutting branches at high parts. The chain saw 14 for cutting high branches has the overall length of <3 meters. The chain saw basically has two joints by taking difficulty in taking the chain saw of <3 meters in length to a site into consideration. A connection device 6 is set even at a place to be considered as a handle. When the shortening of the chain saw is needed, the connection part 12 of a jointing rod is connected to the connection part 5 of a grip part and the chain saw is used in <2 meters. Consequently, the structure of the connection part of the grip part 4 is completely equal to that of the connection part of a connection and fixation part 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
