PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new sulky type tea field-tending machine whose tread dimension can quickly be changed in response to the width of a tea ridge when the tea field-tending machine travels. SOLUTION: This sulky type tea field-tending machine 1 which has travel machine units 2 having crawler type travel members 21 and traveling in a state contacted with a ridge field, and a proper tending machine unit 3, and with which a worker can carry out proper tea field-tending works, while riding thereon, is characterized by having tread-adjusting mechanisms 4 which can slide the travel members 21 in the lateral direction of the tea field-tending machine with respect with the leg portion frames 20A of the travel machine units 2 and comprise each a leg portion base 40 under the leg portion frame 20A and a holder 41 for holding the leg portion base 40 in a state capable of allowing relative swinging movements caused between the leg portion base 40 and the holder 41 on the sliding movement.
