PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a method for supplying a sheet to a machine for printing of the type in which the sheet is divided into pieces from a pile, sent toward a movable register to register and periodically conveyed from the register to the machine, in this case, the motion of the register is braked by a controller to divide from the pile and to convey to the machine, to be flexibly adapted to machine conditions and process conditions by a slight expense by improving the method. SOLUTION: The method for supplying the sheet to the machine for printing comprises the steps of moving the register (13) by a controllable another drive mechanism (14), and processing data to sheet characteristics in the controller (36) to detect an operation signal for the drive mechanism (14).
