PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sofa bed which is used not only as a sofa but also as a bed to reduce a space for installation and foldable compactly to be easy to carry or move. SOLUTION: A sofa bed 1 is composed of a folding seat 2 also as a mattress 4 and a backrest 3 in which the seat 2 is fixed removably on the lower part of the front. The backrest 3 is formed from a hollow body opening the front side and forms a storage space for seat. Rail grooves 21 are formed on left and right side boards 19 of the backrest 3 and, in each of the rail grooves 21, a slide member 29 for opening/closing the front opening of the backrest 2 is provided for sliding.
