CAPPING HEAD, APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CAPPING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To put a cap material on a bottle without causing bridge breakage when seaming. SOLUTION: The capping head 40 includes a first cam roller 50A for integrally moving a screw forming roller 22A forming a screw corresponding to a thread with a capping material put over a mouthpiece of a bottle having the thread, a swell and a neck provided along an outer periphery thereof, a second cam roller 50B for integrally moving a foot seaming roller 22B for seaming a lower end of the capping material with the mouthpiece to form a pilfer-proof region, and a cone cam 41 having a cylindrical cam surface for moving the first cam roller 50A and the second cam roller 50B along the cam surface. The capping head 40 is so constituted that the first cam roller 50A and the second cam roller 50B are integrally moved in an axial direction, and that a first cam 42 with which the first roller 50A is brought into contact and a second can 43 with which the second roller 50B is brought into contact are arranged side by side in the axial direction on the cone cam 41.
