The arrangement (1) includes a telephone operator categorized system with a number of telephone operator locations stored in a memory,each location being complemented with information relating to the capability of the associated operator and the suitability of the operator for answering the incoming call. Also present in the arrangement is a unit for evaluating the call criteria and a control unit for putting the call through to the operator selected by the control unit.
