PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for manufacturing a seamless steel tube with which products excellent in quality is manufactured efficiently without lowering productivity when hot-rolling. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing apparatus of the seamless steel tube, which is provided with an elongater for hot manufacturing a pierced cast steel billet into the tube having reasonable dimensions, a reheating furnace for again heating an obtained steel tube, a stretch reducer for drawing a steel tube extracted from the reheating furnace at 600-850°C and a transporting means for steel tubes for connecting between the elongater and the reheating furnace and between the reheating furnace and the stretch reducer, a cooling bed whose cooling capacity is variable is provided in the transporting means between the elongater and the reheating furnace. In such a case, it is preferable that the cooling bed whose cooling capacity is variable is of a three-dimensional system. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
