<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adverse influence on the growth of plants and to reduce a running cost by efficiently performing cleaning with a small-sized device of an air cleaning system for parking lots using plants. <P>SOLUTION: The system is equipped with an air intake duct 11 opening 13 to a bottom near the floor surface on the deep side of a parking space of the packing lot, a sensor 1 for detecting the entrance of a car to the shed or the emergence thereof from the shed existing near the aperture of the air intake duct, a vegetation chamber 3 having an air permeable partition 4 in part for housing the soil rooted with the plants 23, an air chamber 5 adjoining this partition, a fan 10 for sending the air of the air intake duct 11 to the air chamber, and a controller for driving the fan for a prescribed time during the sensor detects exhaust gas or after the sensor detects a vehicle. The fan is driven according to the frequencies of the vehicles entering the shed or emerging therefrom in the parking lot and therefore the unnecessary running can be averted. The entire part inclusive of the plants 23 is installed within the parking lot, by which the air in the parking lot can be cleaned and circulated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
