<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source overcoming the problems of accumulation and adhesion of blood clot which have obstructed the use of an electrosurgical apparatus, and to provide an electrosurgical system. <P>SOLUTION: The power source is used with an electrosurgical instrument with an electrode for causing the hemostasis of tissue during surgery, and supplies substantially constant AC output voltage signals substantially not dependent on load impedance, to the electrode and supplies voltage waveform with a peak factor close to '1' at an effective value of 120 V or less. The power source is preferably provided with a modulator means with modulator output for supplying selectable DC voltage, a generator means for generating AC waveform at first frequency, and an inverter means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
