PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control type cutting device capable of performing remote control cutting while keeping the restriction of the position relation between a workpiece to be cut and a cutter even in the case where the cutter body of the robot moves. SOLUTION: The remote control type cutting robot cuts the workpiece 6 to be cut in such a way that while controlling the workpiece 6 to be separated from the cutter specified distance with a distance sensor 4 faced to the workpiece 6, the robot tip of a cutting manipulator 2 is moved on a planned cutting path for providing a corrective cutting path. In cutting the workpiece, the cutting manipulator 2 is controlled by a controller 1 to trace the corrective cutting path for cutting the workpiece 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
