PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frozen dessert free from cracks obtained by freeze-drying and having improved shape-retention. SOLUTION: This frozen desert is obtained by freezing a stock solution comprising a milk constituent and a sweetening and then freeze-drying the frozen solution, wherein the sweetening contains≥20 wt.% sugar alcohol. The sugar alcohol is preferably at least one selected from erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol and mannitol. As the other sweetening component than the sugar alcohol, inulin is preferably contained.
