<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic reactor for fuel cell which has high reliability without lowering the performance of a catalytic reactor body. <P>SOLUTION: This catalytic reactor 1 for fuel cell generates hydrogen by a catalytic reaction and, at the same time, is cooled by coolant. This catalytic reactor has such a structure that a space part 5 is disposed between a case part 2 and the catalytic reactor body 3 and the space part 5 is opened to the side of an unreacted gas inlet 2a and the side of a reacted gas outlet 2b and communicates with them. Therefore, the reacted gas is introduced from the side of the reacted gas outlet 2b into the communication part and the gas which is reacted on the side of the unreacted gas inlet 2a is joined on the upstream side of the catalytic reactor body 3.
