<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartilaginous tissue regeneration method capable of being adapted to the repairing of a cartilage deficient region or a cartilage lesion region having every shape, capable of uniformly seeding cartilage cells, generating no gap with respect to the peripheral tissue, leaving no used material and capable of performing operation using an arthroscope. <P>SOLUTION: Cartilage cells are mixed with a heat-sensitive gelatin solution and the cartilage deficient region or the cartilage lesion region is filled with the heat-sensitive gelatin solution to cover the cartilage deficient region or the cartilage lesion region with a sheetlike member. Herein, heat-sensitive gelatin has a property such that the solution formed by adding a polar solvent to heat- sensitive gelatin is liquid at the normal temperature and solid at a temperature high than bodily temperature. As heat-sensitive gelatin, for example, a polymeric compound prepared by the graft polymerization or grafting of an N- isopropylacrylamide with gelatin can be designated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
