<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly avoid occurrence of knock just after the completion of lock up in an engine having an automatic transmission. <P>SOLUTION: When the lock up is determined (S1 to S5), timing delay duration counter value COUNT1 at an ignition time is added and it is recognized to be smaller than a timing delay maximum time counter value CMAX (S6 and S7). Then, a preset set value ADVRTD1 of an ignition time timing delay correction amount is set as the ignition time timing delay correction amount ADVRTD (S8), and timing delay correction control of the ignition time just after the completion of the lock up is performed (S9). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
