<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for activating and storing grains including polished rice, capable of keeping a water content of the grains constant and activating the grains, and rice harvested last year and the year before last, by subjecting water molecules in the grains to electrostatic induction so as to rotate and vibrate the molecule, when the grains are stored, and therefore capable of contributing to prevention of oxidation of the grains and removal of residual agricultural chemicals therefrom, so that freshness of the grains is retained and quality thereof is improved. <P>SOLUTION: An electrostatic voltage generator has a primary coil of a primary circuit of a wire-wound transformer joined to an alternating-current power source, one of ends of a secondary coil of a secondary circuit of the transformer is insulated, the other end joined to a stainless steel wire gauge positioned on a drainboard in the storehouse, and the drainboard made to be in a state of being grounded and isolated by using an insulator so that the grains including the polished rice are stored in the alternating electric field which is generated on the stainless steel wire gauge and formed by an electric voltage of 2,000-4,500 V (electric field strength of 0.3-12.0 KV/m) and an electric current of 0.5-1.5μA. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
