PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow easy and safe loading of a vehicle particularly lower in height without requiring a long loading space in the point of performance and to require lower cost in the point of profitability by partially improving an existing car to be mounted without repurchasing a new car in consideration of present severe economic conditions. SOLUTION: This rear gate, whose ride-in portion is very thin, 5 cm or less in thickness, at least 90 cm or more in length and of a turn-around type to allow easy loading of the vehicle particularly lower in height, has the function of adjusting a ride-in angle, as required, by adjusting the angle of a turn-around portion. Besides, in the point of operation and working safety, the automatic adjustment of the angle of the rear gate in use, storage and ride-in is allowed by a hydraulic mechanism or others. In the point of profitability, an existing car-mounted rear gate can be replaced without repurchasing a car itself to be mounted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
