PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arbor with an air hole capable of exerting an effect for suppressing prevention of heating of a machined hole and damage of a tip without depositing chips in the machined hole and maintaining high rigidity, even in deep prepared hole machining. SOLUTION: This arbor is made to have a structure in which a ring 2 for an outer cylinder having many discharge holes 21 communicated with an air supply hole 12 and bored in a shaft direction is mounted on an outer peripheral part of an arbor body 1. One or more of the rings 2 for the outer cylinder may be provided. It is desirable that the discharge holes 21 are spirally bored in the shaft direction and a plurality of projection wires 23 are removably provided, on the outer peripheral part. It is desirable that an inclined angleθof the discharge hole 21 is made about 10°to 60°to a rear side or a front side for a shaft direction right angle.
