PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting apparatus capable of cutting even a short material having a degree so as not to secure a clamping margin in a material feeding vice device. SOLUTION: In this cutting apparatus, a main material feeding vice device 11 for feeding a material W to a cutting edge part and a fixed vice device 5 are provided on a material carrying-in side of the cutting apparatus, and a subsidiary material feeding vice device 31 for feeding the material W to the cutting edge part is provided on a product carrying-out side for carrying out the cut product. In the cutting apparatus, a photoelectric switch for detecting a distal end position of the material W held by the main material feeding vice device 11 or a distal end position of the material W held by the subsidiary material feeding vice device 31 is provided on the fixed vice device.
