<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently remove CO2 from a waste combustion gas by using a mixture of a specified metallic salt of amino acid and a relatively small amt. of a specified amine compd. CONSTITUTION:The metallic salt of amino acid X is expressed by CH3NR<1> CHR<2>COOM (R<1> and R<2> are each hydrogen, a lower alkyl, R<2> is a lower alkyl when R<1> is a hydrogen, R<2> is a hydrogen when R<1> is a lower alkyl, and M is an alkali metal). The amine compd. Y is piperazine. A waste combustion gas under atmospheric pressure is brought into contact with an aq. soln. of 100 pts.wt. of the metallic salt of amino acid X and 1-25 pts.wt., preferably 1-10 pts.wt., of piperazine Y to remove CO2. The concn. of the metallic salt of amino acid X in the aq. mixed soln. is ordinarily controlled to 15-65wt.%. The aq. mixed soln. is adjusted to 30-70 deg.C when in contact with the waste combustion gas.</p> |
