PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to achieve improved luminescence by expanding the discharge area in the plasma display panel having a delta type pixel structure, while allowing for a stable discharge. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a pair of substrates disposed at a predetermined gap; address electrodes formed on one substrate; a pair of sustain/scan electrodes formed on the other substrate; and barrier ribs(4) disposed between the substrates. The adjacent three columns of barrier ribs form two columns of discharge cells which are formed of expansion portions(15) and support portions(16) which are arranged alternately with each other. The sustain electrode or the scan electrode is formed of a bus electrode(10) and a transparent electrode(11). The bus electrode is arranged to be partially superimposed on the barrier rib forming the expansion portion. The transparent electrode is formed into an arc shape having a predetermined width protruded toward the center of the expansion portion. The protrusions of the two arc-shaped transparent electrode are opposed to each other in the expansion portion. A bridge electrode(12) interconnects the protrusion and the bus electrode. |
