LOW TEMPERATURE CURING CATION ELECTRODEPOSITION RESIN COMPOSITION AND PAINT CONTAINING THE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A low temperature curing cation electrodeposition resin composition and a paint containing the composition are provided, to prevent the deterioration of storage stability, to improve the yellowing and to enhance the uniformity of coating by partially blocking diisocyanate with a monoalcohol, an acryl monomer and a dihydroxy alkanoic acid. CONSTITUTION: The resin composition comprises a polyepoxy-amine cation resin as a base resin; and 10-60 wt% of a polyisocyanate-based curing agent prepared by reacting an aliphatic or aromatic isocyanate, a monoalcohol, an acryl monomer, a dihydroxyalkanoic acid represented by the formula 1 and a polyfunctional polyol, wherein R1 is H or an alkyl group of C1-C3 and R2 is a methylol group. Preferably the dihydroxyalkanoic acid has a number molecular weight of 100-200, and is at least one selected from the group consisting of dimethylol ethanoic acid, dimethylol propionic acid, dimethylol butanoic acid and dimethylol pentanoic acid.
