PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of electronic equipment and also to prevent decrease in a receiving S/N ratio of a tuner provided in the electronic equipment in the electronic equipment provided with a plurality of operation units on the front panel of the equipment main body. SOLUTION: The electronic equipment 1 consists of the electronic equipment main body 2, a first operation unit 3 and a second operation unit 4. The first operation unit 3 is provided with a display device 9 and a control CPU 21, and the second operation unit 4 is provided with a display device 19 and a control CPU 22. The electronic equipment main body 2 is provided with a system CPU 31, a power supply 32 for a display device for feeding power to the display device 9 of the first operation unit 3, a power supply 33 for a control CPU for feeding power to the control CPU 21, a power supply 34 for a display device for feeding power to the display device 19 of the second operation unit 4, a power supply 35 for a control CPU for feeding power to the control CPU 22, and in addition, a position detecting part 37 for detecting the positions of the operation units. The power of the power supply 34 for a display device and then, the power supply 35 for a control CPU is disconnected on the basis of the positions of the first and second operation units 3 and 4.
