<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure which is for a medium detection sensor of radiating a medium guided to a medium transfer guide with light and of detecting light reflected from the medium and capable of reducing the number of components, mounting man-hours, and the malfunctions of the medium detection sensor. <P>SOLUTION: Medium transfer guides 53 and 53' guiding a medium 51 in the direction of an arrow 11 are formed of light-transmitting material, and medium detection sensors 55 and 55' are provided on the surfaces of the medium transfer guides 53 and 53' opposed to their surfaces confronting the medium 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
