PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform remote maintenance concerning the fault of an electric appliance even when a network is not used. SOLUTION: A remote controller includes a management information transmission request parts 2 and 3 for requesting electronic appliance management information to the electric appliance, a receiving part 2 for receiving electronic appliance management information transmitted from the appliance in response to the request of the requesting parts 2 and 3, a storage part 8 for storing electronic appliance management information received by the receiving part 2, a reading part 6 for reading management information stored in the storage part 8 and a transmitting part 2 for transmitting management information read by the reading part 6 to an external device which transmits the information to a call center via a network.
