PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter, a receiver and a communication system that can realize interactive performance in a unidirectional communication system such as a TV broadcasting. SOLUTION: The data transmitter 110 in the communication system of this invention repetitively transmits a prescribed number of image data stored in a display image information storage section 123 and control information stored in a link information storage section 125. Furthermore, the data receiver 150 is provided with a reception separation section 151 that separates a broadcast wave into a set of the image data and the control information, a received data storage section 152 and a reproduction section 153 that store the separated result and reproduce it, a reproduction means that reproduces the stored image data to provide an output of a video signal, and a control means that controls the separation means so as to separate other image data denoted by the control information in the storage means according to the operation of a user. Through the configuration above, using the broadcast wave sequentially reproduces image data desired by the user to realize the interactive performance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
