PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter having a simple constitution, capable of protecting the device safely by stopping the switching operation, when a short-circuit release abnormal test is carried out. SOLUTION: Overcurrent breaking means F1, each having primary winding of a plurality of transformers T1 and T2, and a switching element Q1 are connected in series with a DC power supply 1. Each secondary winding of the transformers T1 and T2 is connected commonly in parallel, and a voltage induced by the secondary winding of the transformers T1 and T2 is rectified and smoothed by a first rectifying and smoothing circuit 3 to generate a DC voltage. When a short-circuit test is carried out for the primary winding of the transformers T1 and T2, an overcurrent is broken by an overcurrent breaking means F1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
