PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflecting yoke in which a deflecting coil effective end position of a saddle type horizontal deflecting coil on an electron gun side vertical axis in a cathode-ray tube can be freely set regardless of a saddle type or toroidal type vertical deflecting coil position. SOLUTION: This deflecting yoke for a cathode-ray tube is provided with a saddle type horizontal deflecting coil 1 to which a horizontal deflecting current is supplied, a saddle type or saddle type vertical deflecting coil 3 to which a vertical deflecting current is supplied, and a magnetic core. In the electron gun side coil form of the cathode-ray tube, the deflecting coil effective end ay of the saddle type horizontal deflecting oil 1 on the electron gun side vertical axis exists at an electron gun side cylindrical part. To a deflecting coil effective end ax of the saddle type horizontal deflecting coil 1 on an electron gun side horizontal axis, the deflecting coil effective end ay on the electron gun side vertical axis is on the screen side of the cathode-ray tube.
