<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly secure a backup data and to save a memory size. <P>SOLUTION: An engine control device 10 comprises CPU 11, ROM 12, RAM 13, I/O 14 and the like. The RAM 13 comprises a backup RAM 13a, and the data of the backup RAM 13a is stored and held regardless of ON/OFF of an ignition switch 1. The backup RAM 13a has areas A1, A2, and A3, and a fuel correction coefficient CLRN is stored in the area A1. The fuel correction coefficient CLRN is defined by a floating decimal point type 4-bite length.
