<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector having novel housing engaging structure, and to surely engage a metal housing with an insulation body by the electric connector. <P>SOLUTION: This electric connector includes the insulation body, the metal housing for covering the insulation body, and a member such as a terminal normal seat for orienting a terminal, the insulation body has an abutting face brought into contact with an abutting connector each other, and an assembling face inserted with the terminal, and a terminal storage hole is provided to be penetrated through the abutting face and the assembling face and to store the terminal. The metal housing is press-molded, engaging tools are provided in both opposed end of a metal base, a hollow engaging hole is provided in the engaging tool, a protrusion corresponding to the engaging hole is provided in one side near to the assembling face of the insulation body, and the protruded part is engaged with the engaging hole of the metal housing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
