<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the on-board rewrite of a nonvolatile memory without executing a write-in program in a built-in RAM. <P>SOLUTION: The rewrite of a flash memory 18 is performed from a host system through an AUD module 12, whereby the storage of a write-in control elimination program in the flash memory is dispensed with, and the storage area assigned to an application program in the flash memory can be increased by this portion. Since the transfer and execution of the write-in control elimination program to and in the RAM 14 is also dispensed with, the memory capacity of the RAM is never compressed, and a sufficient memory capacity can be assigned for the holding of backup data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
