PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image pickup device which enables easily obtaining a soft focus image from an obtained image. SOLUTION: A lens system 1 forms the image of a subject on an imaging device 2, and a first multiplier 5a adjusts the gain of an obtained video signal V1. A first adder 5b adjusts the DC component of the video signal after gain adjustment. An LPF 5d allows only low-band frequency components of the obtained video signal V1 to pass through. An output signal V2 of the LPF 5d gives an out-of-focus image. A second multiplier 5e adjusts the gain of the signal V2, and a second adder 5f adjusts the DC component of the signal V2 after gain adjustment. A third adder 5c adds a first video signal V1A and a second video signal V2A. A video signal V3 obtained by the addition gives a soft-focus image giving a soft impression. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
